Trust
The NFC card you can switch off.
Most NFC cards store a direct link that works forever, for whoever holds the card. A TapInfo chip holds only a random ID, and every tap passes through a resolver you control.
Whoever finds it opens your profile, indefinitely.
Revoke it from your phone. The card shows a neutral notice from the next tap.
Someone leaves your company
Their card keeps pointing at their old profile or your company page.
An admin revokes or reassigns it. The relationships they made stay with you.
A card is copied
The copy works for as long as the original does.
Revoke the original ID and every copy dies with it. On cryptographic chips, copies fail from the start.
A chip is rewritten
Unlocked chips can be rewritten by any free phone app, sending taps to a stranger’s page.
TapInfo chips are write-locked when encoded.
Your identity is yours
You can export it, move it or delete it. A card is something you hold; the identity behind it belongs to you, and to your organisation only for work credentials it issued.
The chip holds a link, nothing personal
A TapInfo chip stores a short tapinfo.io address with a random ID. No name, number or email is written to the card, so a lost card gives away nothing on its own.
Every tap can be stopped at the source
Taps pass through the TapInfo resolver. That’s what lets any card be suspended, replaced or revoked without touching the card itself.
The credential
Made to represent you before you’ve said a word.
Standard card size, 85.60 × 53.98 mm. Standard cards carry the TapInfo mark in the centre. Custom cards carry whatever you like. On metal the NFC inlay sits on the back; in plastic and wood it’s sealed inside.
Lost a card? Revoke it and order a replacement at half price. Your profile, history and relationships carry on.
Questions people ask before they buy
Does the other person need an app?
No. Most modern phones open a TapInfo card straight away: iPhone XS and later read it from the lock screen, and Android phones open it when NFC is on. Anyone else can scan the QR.
What if I lose my card?
Revoke it in a few seconds and order a replacement. Your profile, history and relationships carry on; only the lost card stops working.
What happens when I change jobs or details?
Update your profile once. Every card, tag, QR and link you’ve handed out opens the new version from the next tap.
What’s stored on the chip?
A short tapinfo.io link with a random ID. No name, number or email is written to the card.
Can someone copy my card?To confirm
A copy only carries the same link, and revoking the original kills every copy. Clone-resistant cryptographic chips are on the roadmap.
Do metal cards work as well as plastic?
Yes. Metal blocks radio, so metal cards carry a sealed NFC inlay on the back. Tap with that side towards the phone.
How close does the phone need to be?
Within a few centimetres of the top of the phone on iPhone, or the middle of the back on most Android phones.
Is there a subscription?To confirm
You pay once for the card or tag, and every one includes 3 months of the TapInfo app free. After that, app plans start at £0.99. TapInfo isn’t VAT-registered, so there’s no VAT on top.
Your identity is already digital. Your business card should know that.
